Face of African Beauty is one of the online photo contests that were established in recent times.
It is strictly an online contest i.e No catwalk, no selling of tickets, no hiring of gown. You can contest at the comfort of your home, office, practically anywhere.
Before now, women were neglected and relegated; however, the practice is gradually being reversed globally.
The event is scheduled to hold every year around August to September. Registration for the contest starts early followed by the unveiling. This year's registration is likely to end around 30th of August.
Contest, like Face of African Beauty, are among the activities designed to empower young woman and give them a voice through beauty competition.
Winner of the Face of African Beauty will be greatly awarded with an official car and accorded respect and recognition.
The winner is also expected to embark on a project that will continue to project her name all the time. Such project includes establishing a non-governmental organisation that will encourage and empower women to come out and participate in contests and leadership positions or establishing a charity organisation.
Ladies within the approved age range of 14years- 40years are allowed to register and participate in this contest designed for women in Africa. The organisers in various countries in Africa do organise primaries where they will select the best candidate to represent the country during Face of African Beauty (Online Photo Contest).
Face of African Beauty will always be contested during the last four-five months of the year. The online voting procedures of the contest and other necessary things are usually determined by the organisers of the event and communicated to the public via media and social networks .
This year contest is hosted by
Orient Modeling Agency, organisers of similar online photo contest: Face of Ultimate Queen Nigeria, which the grand prize was also an official car, Most Photogenic Personality in Nigeria, Face of Orient and Runway pageantry: recently concluded Queen of Nigeria Universe, Partners with Mr and Miss Nigeria International, Miss NGO( Non-Governmental Organisation) and a lots more.
